I Blog, Therefore I Am.

I love weddings! So it was such a delight when we attended Paul and Cindy's Church Wedding at the Nuestra Senora De Gracia in Makati last Saturday, October 9.



Paul is a former officemate and a very good friend from Honda. He went to the US after the 'big Honda exodus' where he met and fell in love with the lovely Cindy.

I've been blogging for more than six years now. My love for blogging and writing started with my fascination with Friendster and its testimonials. Then it evolved to something more concrete and 'formal' through a blogsite called Xanga, which I abandoned 3 weeks after I saw the user-friendly and good platform of Blogger.

I started blogging not because of a love problem or a sad break-up story (unlike a friend of mine, hehe!). What prompted me to start a blog was my frustration and indecision to resign at my first job at Honda. I never had one of those "it's my first job so live and let live" moments. I was really happy that I landed in a very good company for my first work post-college. It was such a bittersweet moment when I finally decided to leave and this blog truly helped in unleashing those angst and feelings.

I spent five long beautiful years at Honda and I truly learned a lot from it; from identifying car mechanical stuff like head gasket to appreciating the feel, beauty and grace of a newly-launched Honda Civic. Aside from the actual resignation and the pain that goes with it, the hardest part was leaving the great pals I made who are now my lifelong friends. We are a tightly-knit family in Honda and I admit that I still miss at times those crazy-fun times and adventures that we had.

Despite everything, I owe and acknowledge that part of my success today is attributed to  Honda for giving me the ultimate bootcamp and the first taste of career achievement. The other part of course was due to the Tire Company, my third job, which made me realize that the automotive industry is not cut-out for girls like me. I learned this after spending so much time at the company's Servitek Shops, which is just similar to those Los Angeles auto repair shops, sans the prestige and the efficiency.  But that story and all the gory details about it is reserved for another exciting blog post. Stay tuned.

I'm posting THIS at the office! Yeah! With my soon-to-be-ex boss two seats away from me and with a blank seat between us at that (since Lee is already in Tralala Land!)

Anyway, for the benefit of Reg, Kel, Clod, Cols, Paul and Lee who 'might' be missing HCPI. This one is for you.

> NET MEETING - this is a window-based communiation tool that has chat features. There are only four (4) who are on-line today - Crazy Biatch!, *bad and ***(".)*** and xxx xxx. Taray Daw suggested that we download mCIR (and ask Gigglesurway to join?) so we can chat with the rest of the Mightys who are already OUT there. We need help on the firewall though.

> 1ST MEETING - today is my 1st meeting with Lola since May 13th. Whenever she's here, I am not and vice versa. Grabe ha! She's asking me to do so many thingggs!!! Do I have to remind her that I've already resigned (and not to mention injured) YET I have to turn in TWO (2) fresh proposal for her! Duh?! Leeeeee! Ano ba yan?!

> LUNCH - where else BUT at the deadly canteen? But we ordered from Gabino's, yum yum. We miss the other Mightys so much :( We were only six (6) who had lunch together. *cries* Kakalungkot talaga!So depressing! Nobody has that DRIVE anymore! All we talk about is filing leaves, not going to work, resting (and to some applying at other companies) and the like.

> INTERNET GALORE! - the only coolest thing about this napakatagal nagrace period is I can surf, surf and surf! Sarap! BUT sometimes the connection is SO slow! Mabilis pa Pacific Internet e-Volve!

> MIGHTY GOODBYE! - Weeelll, here's another goodbye! Paul is leaving for the US later this evening. It's both a happy and sad moment for all of us (lonely for Lee, I'm sure). We will miss you, Paul! Bon VOGAGE!!! Until the next Mighty Friday!
