Facebook is the new battleground for memes, surveys and quizzes. A certain meme is making the rounds among friends and I was tagged to do it by no less than 17 people. I finally succumbed to it tonight and answered it.

Rules: Once you've been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged.

1. I have a very long name, Anna Vida Theresa, and I love it. I hate it when people do shortcuts on it or omit one of the names in documents. I want it long and complete.

2. My mom told me recently (like a month ago) that I almost died when I was 7 months old. She said that I had non-stop diarrhea and they even had my IV on my infant head!

3. I am generally a nice person. I am also very optimistic. I am the epitome of sunshine!

4. My mother is the most important person in my life. Period.

5. I have a very weird personality. I am very extrovert, loud, and can talk non-stop for hours BUT I also enjoy being alone and just staying at home. I often prefer eating or watching movie alone. I definitely want to shop alone.

6. I am literally a "dreamer". I always have vivid dreams when sleeping.

7. I chose the right course in college. I know what's my calling even then.

8. I have gazillion friends and acquaintances but I learned in the last few years that quality is better than quantity. I am still friends with a lot of people but I hang-out with just a few.

9. My favorite time of the day is early evening. Creative thoughts and ideas usually kick in at 7:00 at night and it can last until 4:00 am. I am usually mentally "dead" in the morning!

10. My first love is reading. I read everything from carton boxes to hard-bound novels. One of my resolutions this year is to read more. Six months into the new year and I already finished The American Wife (Curtis Sittenfeld), Sisters (Danielle Steel) and I am currently reading Living History (HRC's autobiography).

11. I've been blogging since mid-2003. It was Aileen who influenced me and I plunged into it because I need an outlet for my then 'quarter-life crisis'. My entries evolved since then and gone now are the drama and love dilemma posts of my 20s. My posts now are happier but less personal.

12. I won in Pond's Age Miracle's 7-Days of Beauty blog writing contest last year. My prize? A 3G iPhone.

13. What to know what I'm up to at this very moment? Try Twitter.

14. I religiously download the following shows every Friday night for my weekend watch: Grey's Anatomy, Brothers & Sisters, Gossip Girl, Privileged, 90210 and American Idol. I am also watching old West Wing episodes via DVD.

15. I am very OC when using punctuation marks and small/upper cases/capital letters in writing. i hate seeing small letters in beginning letters in sentences like THIS sentence. I also hate seeing "I" in small letters.

16. Two of my ex-boyfriends got the same name. How weird is that?

17. I enjoy driving! After years of procrastination I finally learned how to drive in May 2005. My fastest driving speed is 140kph at The Skyway on my way to Makati; and my longest drive was 5 hours straight to Quezon then back to Laguna again for another 5 hours of drive (with only 3 hours of rest interval).

18. I've been wearing my hair long and straight (with the occasional layers) since 2001. I am not going back to short hair...ever!

19. I got myself a new toy last Christmas: a Canon DSLR. I'm fascinated with food photography and it's something I want to delve into. I am going to enroll myself in a Basic Photography class but I can't find time to do it at the moment.

20. My word of the year is "collaboration". Last year's was "project" and 2007's was "celebration".

21. I am a closet politics fan. I don't express my views and opinions often but I am fascinated to hear what others think. Politics is fun!

22. I am an information junkie and a history buff. I usually spend at least an hour a week reading Wikipedia or other information sites on random topics, policies, views, opinions, scorecards, statistics and articles. Last week's topic was the evolution and history of Roe v. Wade.

23. The last three weeks at work were super busy ones. A new job function that was given to me is making me anxious but excited. I am literally tired from working BUT I am not complaining and is actually grateful about it. I love my job! :)

24. The opposite of love is not hate but indifference. Too bad I'm indifferent about love at the moment. Heh!

25. I am such a great believer of love and all the neat things it can do to people. I was fortunate that love found me in the least expected moment in my life. Unexpectedly love also went away and broke me into pieces. I've longed moved on from the pain and hurt and is cool about it. Despite everything I am still a big believer of love...I am just too damn scared to fall again.

Some of the items above were actually taken from the former memes I had before. I recycled some because thinking 25 random things about you in one go is a bit narcissistic for me. :)

Now it's YOUR turn! Tag, tag, tag to anyone who wants to do this!

I got a tag from Marj to make a post on 10 Random Things About Me. Unfortunately, I've already wrote about that one recently so I just decided to post a random thing about me that might surprise most of you.

I Googled my name earlier and found some "incriminating evidence" about me that might cost me my fantabulous job at TEH ONE. Is it a sex scandal video? Nah, too Paris Hilton. Is it a blog entry where I posted some juicy corporate news? Nope, too geeky for me. Think again.

It actually involved a contest where I became an accidental winner.

Note that this happened in November 2003 when I was still a staffer at Honda and far, far far away from where I am now. It was a time when I was still learning how to blog amidst my quarter-life crisis. Just want to point out that one in case my bosses read this. :)

Here's the article which I found here. Read on.

Funny, right?

Yep, I won some concert tickets and scored a meet & greet with Mariah from Globe on her Charmbracelet World Tour in 2003. How weird is that? I was actually just an "accidental winner" because I did not intentionally joined the contest. It was really the F4 songs I downloaded (can this post be more cheesy?) which made me a winner via Globe's electronic raffle. Should DTI be warned and involved on the screwed mechanics? Hah!

There's more.

Since I was not really a Mariah fan and not so into concerts, I gave my two (2) Gold tickets to my brother and sis-in-law. They watched and enjoyed the concert while I went to Shangri-La to meet and greet the diva.

I also remembered being interviewed but I cannot remember saying that Mariah's "a true vision of love" like what the article above said. I know myself well and I don't say stuff like that. I was misquoted by Globe for their PR cr*p! They did not even send our lone picture with Mariah like they promised! I only learned about it when it came out in the papers two months after the concert and friends SMSd me. One friend even sent me a scanned copy of the paper which I cannot find as of the moment.

My friend Teena tagged me so here I am answering her tag at half past 3am. I cannot sleep and is actually working and answering some work e-mails. Ladida!

TEN RANDOM FACTS ABOUT ME

The Rules:
1. Each blogger starts with ten random facts/habits about themselves.
2. Bloggers that are tagged need to write on their own blog about their ten things and post these rules.
3. At the end of your blog, you need to choose ten people to get tagged and list their names.
4. Don't forget to leave them a comment telling they're tagged, and to read your blog.

Here you go...

1. I used to be just a water and soap person. BUT I've been putting on a lot of junk on my face lately. I road tested a lot of products in the last months and I am happy to say that I finally have a perfect set for my cleanse-tone-moisturize-protect routine. Will blog about it soon!

2. I made some New Year's Resolution and things to do in 2008 last January but I forgot to post them. I wrote it in a sheet of paper at work in the early days of the year and I put it on my bag. I saw it this evening and is proud to say that I've already accomplished some of them.

3. I love writing "friends-only" blog post in my Multiply. It's such a liberating feeling to write down your thoughts without worrying of random people peeking and seeking.

4. I hate, hate, hate my laptop these days! Some virus is secretly worming on my folders and our IT gurus cannot catch it! It's also freakin' s-l-o-w lately so my boss told me to have Tech Ops check it and ask them to recommend a replacement.

5. I've already been to Davao, Cebu and to a Laguna Loop roadtrip this year. Next on the agenda is some BEACHing!

6. I am loveless. Am I sad? No. Have I accepted it? Yes. Moved on and let go? 100% YES.

7. I want to buy a new camera. My current one is getting OLD. I am thinking of getting a Canon G9 or go all the way with a Canon 400D DSLR. Stay tuned.

8. I love American Idol Season 7! I have all the studio and live recordings in my iPod (since Top 12) and I can't stop blogging and twitting about them. My bet is a David-David showdown at the end!

9. My favorite time of the day is early evening. Creative thoughts and ideas usually kick in at 8:00 at night and it can last until 4:00 am. I am usually DEAD in the morning!

10. I miss my friends! ALL of them! :(

Tag to Aileen, Tintin, Charo, Mitzi, Jenny, Tere, Sheggz, Honey, Bambi and Koleen. (Jang, Meds, She, Anna: Teena tagged you already so I'm giving chance to others! Hehe!)

Belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Aileen! Woohoo! This is just the beginning of the greatest years of your life! :)

Hi, my name is:
Abbie

Never in my life have I been:
Seriously betrothed to another person, an associate of an advertising agency or a traveler outside of Asia.

The one person who can drive me nuts is:
My dad, my mom and my bro. In that order.

High school is:
Where I found my lifelong friends.

When I'm nervous:
I get jumpy and distracted.

If I were to get married right now my Maid of Honor would be:
A toss coin (literally) between Tin, Aileen and Charo. Losers will be Bridesmaids. US-based Ivy and Mitz's chances are forfeited due to distance.

My hair is:
Long, straight and shiny. Indulge me, please. :)

When I was 10:
I was pissed because my friends became "grown ups" who doesn't want to play anymore. Aquanet became their best friend and it took the place of Kick Ball.

Last Christmas:
Was almost NOT like Christmas. My dad was in the hospital and we spent the holidays there.

Christmas '07 Decors at The Podium. So nice.

I should be:
More assertive, involved and BITCHY.

The happiest recent events were:
Our family Saturday dinner, some great news from work and the a-okay concept for an upcoming launch.

By this time next year:
I should be happier, more contented...and yeah...in a relationship.

My current gripe is:
Some admin stuff at work that I should not let pass.

I have a hard time understanding:
Math, men and their numerous issues and baggages, and Meredith & Lexie Grey's relationship.

There's this girl I know who:
Turned her back to fame, popularity and fortune to pursue her life's goal and true passion. I admire her for that. Very very few people can do that

You know I like you when:
I talk about you all the time, I text you and I blog about you.

If I won an award, the first person I would tell would be:
My Mom

Take my advice:
1) Get them when they are young! The older they get, the more issues they will have. 2) Resign when you still have enough drive to do it.

Something that I really want to buy is:
Another Dorothy Perkins pants and jeans, a Macbook Pro and a Canon 400D.

If you visited the place I was born:
You can go to Luneta Park after!

I plan to visit:
Iloilo in January for Tish's wedding and to Italy before I die.

I'd stop my wedding if:
It's not true love or if he's gay.

The world could do without:
Joseph Estrada

I'd rather lick the belly of a cockroach than:
(THIS is not a question!)

Most recent thing I've bought myself:
A hot Pork Ball Congee at Luk Yuen at SM Megamall. I miss it SO much! It's my ultimate comfort food. I've been eating them since I was five years old. The branch in Glorietta 2 is obviously close due to the bomb(?) blast.

Most recent thing someone else bought me:
Chocolate Temptation Crepe of Crepes and Creams at Podium

This morning I:
Watched Grey's Anatomy Season4 Episode7 - Physical Attraction, Chemical Reaction.

Got this meme from Apple and Jing. Tag to Aileen, Charo, Tin, Mitz, Jean, Mindy, Riz and to anyone who likes to do it.

CLUE: ALL answers can be found on THIS blog! :) I'll give a cool prize to the highest scorer!

Got this funny "crush" meme from my niece/goddaughter, Kiara. It's really cute and child-like. It's a welcome change from my emo posts. I just want to acknowledge that there's a *new* guy in my life. Technically he's not yet a "guy in my life" since I don't even know if he know I exist.

I've done a lot mopping and crying in the previous years for my ex and it's very refreshing to actually have someone new in my life. It's about time! This is a start. Horay for me! Whew!

So, please, let me indulge! :)

Is he your age? Hmmm, I dunno. I think either we are of the same age or I am older by a year.

Has he ever talked to you or about you positively? He said "hello" once and there were a lot of times when we greeted each other at the hallway.

Has he given you the "cute look?" Yeah, I think. There were a couple of incidents I can recall when he gave me THE look.

Has he asked for your number? Personally? Nope. But since I am using a Service Unit number, he can easily get it from anyone in the office. I got his from some internal advisory. Haha!

Does he constantly look at you? Constantly? I dunno. But I am sure that he did look once or twice or thrice...

Does he ask you to hug him throughout the day? Whaaat?! I'll get there! I'll get there!

When you walk up does he ignore you? Haven't had the chance (or the reason) to approach him. But, this evening, I was talking to one of our officemates and he went to the area where we were talking to talk to another officemate. He was just a couple of feet away from moi.

Do you often find yourself starting the coversation? No reason to talk to him...YET. Soon, soon. I think we are both involved in one of Marketing's upcoming projects. Saw his name in the e-mail loop of the project brief that was sent recently! Woohoo!

If you answered yes, did the conversation end quickly? I answered NO above.

Do you wish to have a "notebook" romance? Notebook as in The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks? Uhhh, nope. Albeit uber-romantic, "The Notebook" book/movie's leading lady had Alzheimer's. If "notebook" in the sense that it's bloggable and diary-worthy then YES.

Is the guy you like very smart? Well, he's from SMART so he must smart. I've always been a nerdy-guy-magnet so I guess HE HAS TO BE smart or else...

Is he rebellious? I don't think so. He's very dedicated and religious. (I can notice and observe these tidbits as early as now).

Have you ever asked the person you liked out? Nope, nope.

What did he say if he said anything at all? Not applicable...YET.

Has he ever generously complimented you? Nah...! He will once he get to know me!

Are you married to the one you like? Haha! I don't even know if he knows me!

Have you had a good dream about this person? Good question. I dream A LOT. A clear indication of my 'likeness' towards someone lies heavily on the 'dream indicator' factor.

Does he look at you like a friend? I hope NOT.

Does he come to you with advice? He'll probably ask me for loyalty programs and delight projects advice soon.

Has he ever called you? Nope.

Have you ever called him? Nope.

Is he on your MySpace of Friendster? He's not in Friendster or I did not search/look close enough. I rarely open MySpace.

Does he avoid you? I don't think so.

Is he shy? I can see that he doesn't have a shy personality.

Have your parents met him? Not...YET! Hah!

Can he make you laugh? He can make his teammates laugh. They are always on a laugh trip!

Is he bossy? I don't think so. I heard him talking to someone earlier and he seemed courteous.

Has he tried to kiss you? There will be chaos at the 16th floor if he will ever attempt. :)

This is so FUN! Try if you want! I miss the feeling of giddiness! Me having a crush is a national event! Be happy for me! :)

Got this one from Ida:

Instructions: Each player starts with 7 random habits/facts about themselves. People who are tagged need to write on their own blog about their seven things, as well as these rules. At the end of your blog, you need to choose 7 people to be tagged and list their names. Don't forget to leave them a comment telling them that they have been tagged and to read your blog!

1. I have a very weird personality. I believe that I am very extrovert, loud, and can talk non-stop for hours BUT I also enjoy being alone and just staying at home. Weird, huh? Or is this a sign of ageing? Beats me.

2. I enjoy driving. After years of procrastinating, I finally learned how to drive in May 2005. In my very short driving history I'm very proud to say that I've already driven in two major road trips. One was from Dagupan to Las Pinas (4-hour night drive; April 2006) and the other was a day trip from Laguna to Gumaca, Quezon and back to Laguna again (total of 8-hour day/night drive; May 2007). My fastest driving speed is 140kph at The Skyway on my way to Makati.

3. Here are my essential gadgets (in order of appearance in my life): a black kick-ass desktop PC (okay, it's not as kick-ass as before but it's still all-wireless), a black Altec Lansing speakers with subs, a Canon IXUS 60, a 30GB iPod Video, an Altec Lansing inMotion mobile speakers and a Nokia N70. If I'll be asked (or cursed) to part ways with one of them then I'll choose to give-up my iPod. Know why? Well, I actually don't know why.

4. I was already confined twice at Asian Hospital and Medical Center this year. The first one was for a routine endoscopy and I was just being conceited about it. I could've opted for out-patient procedure but I decided to book myself at the hospital to lessen the stress of driving to and from and all of that. The second was for Open Cholecystectomy (a.k.a. gall bladder removal due to gall stones) which was actually kinda scary.

5. I don't use text language when sending SMS. I don't even know how to read text language. It confuses me.

6. I am very OC when it comes to using punctuation marks and small/upper cases/capital in writing. i hate seeing small letters in beginning letters in sentences like THIS sentence. I also hate seeing "I" in small letters.

7. What is Abbie without some mush? I am such a great believer of love and all the neat things it can do to people. I was fortunate that love found me in the least expected place and moment in my life. Unexpectedly love also went away and broke me into pieces. Despite that I'm still a believer of love...I am just too damn scared to fall again once more.

This is a funny game. My friends did this a long time ago and I decided to try it.
